After studying Caravaggio's "Still" artwork and his usage of natural lighting I use his work a a guide in order to improve the composition and aesthetic of my own crystal scenes.
In oirder to create similar rays of luight I create da psotlight to emluate the illusoin f a windfow or beam of natueal hitting the stone all in the scene. (figure a)
Furthermore, just how the ruby sword scene began to improve onece textures were introcued I decidded to create a simple stone texture that I foudn from a free texture website for the time bing and changed the colour to create a sand stone temple wall. (figure b)
Contiing from this scene the following day I proceeded to push my lighting cpabilites further by looking though maya rendegn settings and disocvered useful tools that created more dynamic lights and shadows in my rendered scesn.
